Hearing aid types

Widex offers five main types of hearing aids. The choice of hearing aid depends on the type of hearing loss, the shape of the individual ear canal and to some extent the user´s own individual preferences.

In general, the more powerful the hearing aid is, the larger it is, because a larger battery and receiver are required. The different models listed below are all available in the Widex assortment:

• Behind-the-ear (BTE)          
    
• In-the-ear (ITE)       
    
• Completely-in-canal (CIC)         
    
• Receiver-in-canal (RIC)           
     
• Receiver-in-the-ear (RITE)
